A festive day out at Halifax, Calderdale's largest town. Visit the magnificent Grade I listed Piece Hall, originally built in 1779 by the wool merchants as a place to trade cloth and now the only surviving building of its kind anywhere in the world, home to independent shops & cafés. Today The Piece Hall is hosting a Christmas market, with stalls showcasing some of the regions favourite food and drink producers, artisan makers, gifts, live music, a carousel and a large Christmas tree in the open-air piazza.
