Beginning our day at Ripon, Yorkshire’s smallest city, with a variety of independent shops and a magnificent cathedral. On arrival at the Wensleydale Railway, time to visit the lovingly restored 1920s station building at Leeming Bar where costumed guides are on hand to offer a fascinating window into early 1900s railway history. We then board the “Wensleydale Fryer” dining train travelling behind a heritage diesel locomotive to experience a scenic journey through the Dales towards Leyburn whilst enjoying a delicious lunch of cod & chips, mushy peas, bread and butter & unlimited tea or coffee served at your table. Around two hours later we arrive back at Leeming Bar with time to take a few photos before our journey home. Please note: the vintage trains do not have access for wheelchairs.
