We begin our day at Halifax, Calderdale's largest town. Visit the magnificent Grade I listed Piece Hall originally built in 1779 by the wool merchants as a place to trade cloth. It is now the only surviving building of its kind anywhere in the world, home to heritage spaces, an art gallery, independent shops and cafés. This afternoon we visit the quaint Calder Valley market town of Hebden Bridge.
